Certificates in Applied Shamanic Practice |

The Certificate Programs in Applied
Shamanic Practice provide one of the most complete trainings in
shamanic practice available anywhere. These programs seek to provide
training that moves beyond the boundaries of acculturated practice and, instead, to bring forward practices which are common to a wide
spectrum of shamanic practices found in different acculturated
contexts. In Applied Shamanism, traditional practices where the power
of the shamanic practitioner is emphasized are adapted to facilitate
the empowerment of the client.
Students learn how to facilitate
a wide variety of shamanic healing practices, including power
retrieval, soul retrieval and the removal of energetic interference.
Drum initiations, divination, mediumship, drum healings, space
clearing, creation and maintenance of ceremonial space are just a few
of the activities that students learn to manage in the Certificate
Program in Applied Shamanic Practice.
Shamanic Practitioners in
every cultural context have been the keepers of the wisdom of healing
powers of plants. In the Advanced Certificate Program in Applied
Shamanic Practice, students are introduced to the ways in which
shamanic practitioners engage with the world of plants. Although the
practices of the Ancestral Puebloans are the focal point in learning
about the intelligence of plants, this class broadens the
practitioner’s ability to plumb the intelligence of plants beyond
cultural contexts.
