Geshe Pema Dorjee: "How to Cultivate Compassion"

Geshe Pema DorjeeSacred Stream is happy to announce a very special teaching from Geshe Pema Dorjee, "How to Cultivate Compassion." This talk will be followed by a question and answer period and will be held at the Sacred Stream Center in Berkeley, CA, (Aug 31 at 6:30 p.m.).

About our Guest: Geshe Pema Dorjee was advised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to revive the Bodong tradition, an important tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Pema Dorjee founded and became Director of the Bodong Research and Publication Center in 2003. He founded and directs a Bodong monastery and school in Kathmandu. Geshe Pema Dorjee lives the compassionate life that he teaches. He personally ventures to impoverished and remote areas in Himalayan India and Nepal, where, after a thorough analysis, he creates, directs and raises funds for numerous charitable projects. These include establishing schools, providing medical care for ill and disabled people, educating villagers to protect them from human trafficking, and building bridges and introducing toilets to isolated villages.
