Tutorial Students

People who take the ISJ tutorial can take the regular ISJ workshop free of charge the first time. They are, however, treated like returning students, in terms of cancellations and no shows. If tutorial students cancel within two weeks or do not show for ISJ, they forfeit the opportunity to take class for free.  Thereafter, they must pay the return student fee.

Credit for Cancellation of Enrollment

No refunds.

No credit for cancellations within 24 hours, with the following exception:

MD/Nurse/Doula/Midwife on call policy: Must inform us when they register that they are on call. Must call as soon as they know they can’t make it. Can take the class as a return student (see below for applicable policies).

For all classes except Destination Classes, Advanced Retreats and other classes and events as noted, if you cancel more than 14 days before a class, you may apply your payment, less a 10% processing fee, to a future class. If you cancel more than twenty-four hours and less than 14 days before the class, you may apply your payment, less a 20% processing fee, to a future class. Credit will not be extended for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no shows to the class.

For Advanced Retreats: if you cancel more than 6 weeks before the class, you will receive a credit for your payment, less a 10% processing fee. If you cancel between 6 and 4 weeks before a class, you will receive a credit for your payment less a 25% processing fee. If you cancel between 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the class, you will receive a credit for your payment, less a 50% cancellation fee. No credit will be extended to cancellations with less than 14 days notice or no shows to the class.

For Destination Classes: If you cancel more than 16 weeks before the class, you will receive full credit for a credit for your payment, less a 10% processing fee. If you cancel between 12 weeks and 6 weeks before the class, you will receive a credit for your payment, less a 25% cancellation fee.  If you cancel between 6 weeks and 14 days before the class, you will receive a credit for your payment, less a 50% cancellation fee. No credit will be extended to cancellations with less than 14 days notice or no shows to the class.

Note: Fees are based on the regular tuition for the class, not on payments received.

Credit may be applied to most FSS workshops, though some exceptions do apply.  Credit must be used within 18 months of cancellation and is non-transferable.

If you are signing up for a class using a credit, we will ask you to confirm your wish register. Once you have confirmed, your credit is applied to the class and subject to the regular cancellation policies for that class. Until you have confirmed, you do not have a seat in the class. You are eligible for early registration discounts using credit as long as you confirm by the early registration deadline.

CEU fees paid for cancellations within 14 days of the class are forfeit.

Returning Students

Must register by phone or mail. (Web registration not possible for returns.)

Dedicated space for returning students is limited. After it is filled, a waitlist is formed. You may be put on a waitlist before the returning student limitation is filled, if you have recently returned to a class or retaken it several times. However, most people on the wait list do get into the class.

Anyone who repeats a class pays the full repeat fee and is expected to attend the full class.  The exception is the attendance of missed weekends of Depth Hypnosis, missed sessions for Depth Hypnosis Supervisory, and missed weekends of Advanced Buddhist Psychology Studies with prior approval.

Returning Student Fees

Full fee to return to DH supervisory
20% of full tuition for ISJ
25% of full tuition for all else, except destination and retreat classes, where fees are determined class by class.
Return student fees may be reduced or waived in cases of financial hardship. Contact us to request a fee waiver or reduction. Proof of financial hardship may be requested.

Missed Class Sessions

For multiple weekend DH you can make up a missed weekend and for DH supervisory, you can make up a missed class if you let us know at the time of registration that you will miss class and let us know in advance when you plan to make it up. Please note that if you only miss a portion of a weekend of Depth Hypnosis you need to pay 1/3 of the return fee to make up that weekend and the full return fee to make up the class.

No credit for no shows. CEU fees are forfeit for no shows.

Class Postponement or Cancellation

If we postpone/reschedule a class, people can get a refund if they request one within 30 days of the class being rescheduled. After that, it becomes a credit. If we cancel a class, refunds will be issued.

Payment Plans

Standard 1-class Extended Payment Plan:
We ask that you pay at least half of the tuition before the class. If your remaining balance is less than $500, then there is a $25 fee for the payment plan, and if the remaining balance is between $500 and $1000, then there is a $50 fee for the payment plan. These fees double if the payment plan extends more than 3 months after the start date of the class. Payment plans cannot extend more than 6 months after the start date of the class. Finally, for credit card payment plans, there is a $5 per transaction charge after the first transaction. These are the payment plan "rules," and within these, you can determine what payment amounts and dates will work for you.

If you set up a payment plan, then decide not to take the class, an admin fee is charged, on the usual schedule for that class. The fee is based on the full tuition for the class, not the payment that was made. Fees for changing an existing plan also apply.

Please note: this payment plan is not available for all classes.

Depth Hypnosis Practitioner Program Cancellation

If you decide at any time that you wish to withdraw from the Depth Hypnosis Practitioner Program after having paid for the program in full, the cancellation policies are as follows:

1. The ordinary cancellation policies for any class happening within 6 weeks will apply. Please refer to your welcome letters or (see "Credit for Cancellation of Enrollment" above) for more information.

2. If you have paid more than the tuition for the classes you have already taken, you will get a credit for the difference between what you have paid and the tuition for the classes, less any applicable per class cancellation fees for upcoming classes.

3. If you have paid less than the tuition for the classes you have already taken, you will owe the difference between what you have paid and the tuition for the classes, plus any applicable per class cancellation fees for upcoming classes.

4. An additional $100 administrative fee applies for withdrawal from the Depth Hypnosis Practitioner Program.

If you have to miss any of the upcoming classes in the Depth Hypnosis Practitioner Program, if you notify us at least 2 weeks beforehand, you may take the class at a later date, within 18 months, with no associated fees. If you cancel within 2 weeks you will incur fees to reschedule the class, as follows: 20% of tuition with up to 24 hours notice, 50% of tuition with less than 24 hours notice.

Customized Payment Plans/Financial Aid

In the event of a financial hardship where even the standard payment plan will not work, we do consider applications for financial aid in the form of customized payment plans and, sometimes, modest scholarships. Proof of financial hardship may be requested. We recommend that you apply for financial aid no later than 6 weeks prior to the class. Contact us to request an application.

Gift certificates can be ordered as e-certificates or a  physical one can be sent with shipping and handling charges added. To redeem, must register by phone, mail, or email. (Cannot use web registration for gift certificates.)

Other Fees

There is a $25 charge for processing payments the same day as class.
The fee for bounced checks is $25 and any additional related fees
