Mothers & Fathers: A Path of Service |
Many
spiritual traditions understand that unconditional dedication to the well-being
of another is the path of liberation from the suffering of a self-centered
world view. Caring for another person demands that we step into this path of unconditional
service, yet most of us are unprepared for the demands this path places upon
us. This class examines the generative and creative field of Gaia as a
caretaker, and helps students draw inspiration from this model as they embark
on the journey into parenthood or caregiving.
