Understanding the Worlds Beyond Death

ts_icons_large.jpgIn the current western environment, death is viewed primarily as an ending. In Buddhist and shamanic traditions, it is viewed as a transition from one state of being into another. This class helps participants explore new ways of approaching a subject that is largely taboo and for which people are poorly prepared when they encounter it.

This workshop helps participants gain a deeper understanding of death and dying. Participants will explore death as perceived by practitioners in a variety of shamanic traditions and examine the foundational practices that Buddhists undertake in order to navigate death and the dying process. Drawing from these understandings, students will learn traditional methods for maintaining an optimal environment for the process of dying and methods for healing relationships that appear to have been interrupted by death.

Student Quotes:

"This class was one of the most powerful workshops I have ever taken. It has challenged my understanding of the dying process, provided a strong foundation for my spiritual practice and an opportunity for awareness when transitioning. I am very grateful to Isa for her ability to compile this multidimensional material into a cohesive and structured presentation that allowed me to understand it and integrate it into my daily life. It has affected not only me but those around me. Thank you very very much! " Steven T.

"This class changed the way I interact with others and myself.  I found myself able to engage more deeply with the seen and unseen world around me.  My commitment to this work increased.  The big opening was that everything is knowable." Katharine, R.
