Isa Gucciardi, PhD, is introducing yet another fascinating training program to the Foundation of the Sacred Stream. Having studied various forms of Buddhism for over thirty years, she is introducing a series on Buddhist Psychology. Her stated goal is to bring the eastern understanding of the psyche to contemporary western psychological thought.

Gucciardi is the developer of Depth Hypnosis, an innovative therapeutic model that combines the ancient wisdom of shamanism and Buddhism with hypnosis and transpersonal psychology. She describes Buddhism as "less a religion, than kind of early form of psychology. Buddhism offers perspectives for understanding the mind that are simple and easy to implement, once they are understood."

She explains that the Buddhist Psychology Studies program is for those who would like to understand the deeper workings of the mind and heart from a non-western perspective. No previous knowledge of Buddhism is necessary. Those who have experience with Buddhist practices will find fresh understanding in the application of Buddhist thought to western therapeutic models.
