The Foundation of the Sacred Stream proudly supports artists refecting the deeper connection between us all.  Artist, Evan Bissell, has produced a remarkable series in San Francisco.   He states, "The 22 Bus Line Portrait Project consists of thirty portraits of people who live, ride and work along the 22 bus route and their chosen thoughts about love. In the many days that I spent walking and riding the line, carrying that first portrait as an example, I looked for places on buildings, in windows, on fences and anywhere else I could hang a five foot by two foot painting. After finding suitable spots I would invite whoever was in charge of the building to display one of the portraits and take part in the project. From there I began to find people who were interested in being part of the project, employees, friends of friends, small business owners, clients, community pillars, people who I approached on the street - To each person I would ask three questions about love: What is love? How is love important in your life? What makes it hard to be loving? From their responses we chose a quote to go with their portrait. Installations of the portraits run along the bus line, from 3rd St through Portrero Hill and to the Mission, from Church Street through the Lower Haight and the Fillmore into Pacific Heights and the Marina. All of the portraits will be visible from the bus, some permanent and some temporary."

Congratulations to Evan on a job well done!
