In this talk, Dr. Thurman explains the basic concepts of one of the most complex set of teachings in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism. The Kalachakra is philosophical and yogic system that explores the nature of time, the unenlightened life cycle, and how individuals evolve through countless deaths and lives, either unconsciously or lucidly. It elucidates a pathway to perfect enlightenment through the subtle bliss-mind’s experiential understanding of voidness-relativity-nonduality, empowering a compassionate, artful engagement with all beings and things. Within this context, Dr. Thurman will discuss the individual human’s life span and offer us insight about the momentum of our own life and death in relationship to the cosmos.
