Special Announcement: Sacred Stream’s Isa Gucciardi Featured in MysticMag Article: Working Towards Self-Development with Sacred Stream
Dr. Isa Gucciardi is the Founding Director and Primary Teacher of Sacred Stream, a school for consciousness studies in Berkeley, California. In this special interview for MysticMag, Dr. Gucciardi presents to us her spiritual journey, the importance of learning shamanism, soul retrieval and much more.
Passage is an interdisciplinary call and response poetry, music, and prose project inspired by grief and created at the height of the pandemic. The project hinges around a single poem written by poet, scholar, and psychoanalyst, Forrest Hamer, Ph.D. Dr. Hamer sent me, a practicing psychologist, cellist, vocalist and composer, his poem, Passage, after I had asked if he had any poems about the ocean – the greatest destroyer, life-giver, and in many ways, teacher of loss. Held by his words, Hamer’s poem spoke deeply to my feelings of grief. And I was inspired to create a series of musical pieces from his single poem. Afterwards, I shared the music with him. He was, in turn, touched.

The Sacred Stream is now offering Isa’s Botanicals, an updated version of our popular space clearing sprays.
I began developing the sprays when our work doing space clearings took us to places where we could not burn dried plants, such as hospitals where oxygen was in use. Although I developed these sprays specifically to help in the process of shamanic space clearings, people find these sprays help them in their everyday lives in unexpected ways.
Every plant has a special gift that nourishes, heals and improves our lives. One of the ways they share their gifts with us is through their essential oils. The sprays are made from the essential oils of plants that have specific healing or clearing properties, plants that help maintain mental and emotional clarity and keep physical spaces clear of interferences and imprints from previous events that have occurred in the space.

Springs, and the streams that flow from them, have always had a special place in the hearts of traditional peoples. The Castalian Spring at Delphi, a temple in Greece renowned throughout the ancient world for its oracle, was considered to be the heart of the temple complex. The spring was believed to have mysterious and healing qualities, and those who wished to consult the oracle were obliged to purify themselves by washing there. In France, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes has historically been a place of pilgrimage for those seeking healing, and the nearby spring emerging from the Massabielle cavern is believed to be the source of that healing power. The Gihon Spring in Jerusalem is another powerful source of water, revered since time immemorial, and likely one of the reasons many places of worship from different religious traditions were established nearby.

Join an online community of Yoga Teachers and Practitioners in a monthly exploration of yoga philosophy, anatomy, research, therapeutics, and ethics.
The Yoga Teacher Advanced Studies Seminar is a response to the evolving need for quality continuing education programming in the yoga teaching community.
The level of proficiency in philosophy, anatomy, ethics, and therapeutics is minimal in those teachers who recently completed their 200 hour training, and even in those teachers who have been teaching for a number of years.
This seminar was designed both for teachers looking to keep the learning process alive and for those yoga practitioners who are just plain interested in the fascinating world of yoga philosophy, practice, research and scholarship.
