Join venerable Geshema Ani Choyang in conversation with Laura Chandler online or in-person for this inspiring event exploring an extraordinary journey—from escaping Chinese-occupied Tibet as a young woman with little formal education to becoming one of the first Tibetan Buddhist nuns to earn the prestigious Geshema degree after His Holiness the Dalai Lama opened the path for women to receive the highest level of training in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy.

In this talk, Ani-la will also introduce the vision behind the Hidden Happiness Tour, which seeks to support the continued development of the Jangchub Choeling Library and Learning Center, celebrate the often-overlooked contributions of Tibetan Buddhist nuns, foster meaningful cross-cultural dialogue, and explore the rich intersection of Buddhist philosophy and contemporary scientific inquiry.

About Geshema Ani Choyang
Geshema Ani Choyang is one of the few Tibetan women to earn the Geshema degree in Buddhist philosophy and has emerged as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern science. She was the first Tibetan nun to receive the prestigious Tenzin Gyatso Science Scholarship from Emory University, completed neuroscience research at Northwestern University, and continues to participate in research exploring lucid dreaming and dream yoga. Today, she serves as a science teacher and Coordinator of the Library and Learning Center at Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in Mundgod, India.
Proceeds from this event go to developing the Jangchub Choeling Library and Learning Center.
