The Wisdom of Emotions with Khensur Thupten Tenzin Rinpoche

The Wisdom of Emotions

The Wisdom of Emotions with Khensur Thupten Tenzin Rinpoche

In this class, Khensur Rinpoche Thupten Tenzin offers a profound exploration of the inner landscape of emotion, revealing how our mental states shape the way we experience and respond to the world. Drawing on A Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life by Shantideva, he illuminates skillful methods for working with emotions as a path to greater balance, clarity, and resilience.

A revered Tantric master, Khensur Rinpoche introduces the transformative perspective of Vajrayana Buddhism, guiding students to connect with the essential energy within even the most challenging emotions. Rather than obstacles, these states become gateways to insight—powerful teachers that, when approached with awareness, can be transmuted into wisdom. Through practical instruction, he offers methods for loosening the grip of attachment and cultivating a more spacious, equanimous relationship to life’s difficulties.

Rooted in centuries of Tibetan Buddhist wisdom, these teachings provide both philosophical depth and practical application, supporting a grounded and mindful engagement with emotional experience. With support from assistant instructor, Isa Gucciardi, PhD and excellent Tibetan-to-English translation from Nyima Tsam students will have the benefit of fully receiving the teachings in their authentic context.

This course includes a series of recorded lectures and guided meditations, available through the student portal six weeks prior to a live Q&A session with Khensur Rinpoche. It is a rare opportunity to study directly with one of the Tibetan tradition’s esteemed wisdom holders and to deepen your understanding of the relationship between mind, emotion, and spiritual practice.
