Coming to Peace: Tools and Resources

Coming to Peace: Tools and Resources
Coming to Peace is an integrative conflict resolution training taught by Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D. and Joanna Adler that empowers participants to meet conflict directly and skillfully, with greater confidence in their ability to understand its deeper dynamics and guide it toward meaningful resolution. Drawing from indigenous practices of conflict resolution, Buddhist philosophy, and Depth Hypnosis, the Coming to Peace method supports the discovery of solutions that serve the highest good of all participants and the larger systems in which they are embedded.
This workshop introduces essential tools for facilitating Coming to Peace conflict resolution processes in a grounded, protected, and respectful manner. Participants learn techniques that support the practitioner in facilitating conflict resolution sessions without becoming overwhelmed. Methods of inquiry are also taught that help the facilitator assist individuals and groups in uncovering the root causes driving discord. The training also emphasizes facilitation skills that ensure respectful engagement and teaches mindfulness practices that can be used in group settings to support balanced communication and productive dialogue around challenging issues.
This course is a prerequisite for Coming to Peace: Conflict Resolution Techniques, and only for those who have not taken the Depth Hypnosis Foundation Course (DHFC). This course leads to certification as a Coming to Peace facilitator. Those who have completed the DHFC course are eligible to enroll directly in Coming to Peace: Conflict Resolution Techniques.
